Are dirty chat rooms still full of guys pretending to be girls?

Bit of context before the question: I've been off apps for two years, and now chat rooms is the thing I can't work out.

Nobody writing about chat rooms seems willing to say plainly when something isn't worth the time.

The parts of chat rooms I'd want covered:

• Whether the chat rooms experience holds up after the first fortnight
• What happens to your data if you delete a chat rooms account
• Whether the free tier on chat rooms is genuinely usable or just a demo
• How quickly chat rooms puts a paywall in front of a conversation that has started

Happy to be told I'm asking the wrong thing about chat rooms.

The cheap test for chat rooms is whether you can send one message without a card, and if you cannot, move on.
