Long-time lurker here, finally posting, because what I want to understand is are jerk off chat rooms mostly text-based these days, or mostly video.

Every comparison of chat rooms I've seen skips the part I care about, which is what happens after you sign up.

The criteria I keep coming back to on chat rooms:

• Whether the matching in chat rooms does anything beyond distance
• How much jerk actually costs you when using chat rooms
• Whether jerk makes any material difference to chat rooms
• Whether chat rooms is honest about jerk up front
• How chat rooms handles jerk compared with the bigger names

Disagree with Ben1989 slightly here on chat rooms. For me the jerk side of chat rooms was the surprise — I had not factored it in at all.

This matches what I've seen with chat rooms, where the pool in your area matters more than any feature list.
