Are there any live dating apps that allow you to broadcast while looking?

Trying to settle an argument with a friend about dating apps, so I'm bringing it here.

The problem with researching dating apps is that almost every top result is a ranked list written by someone paid to rank it.

Breaking dating apps down into the parts I can test:

  • How dating apps treats broadcast once you stop paying
  • What happens to your data if you delete a dating apps account
  • Whether the dating apps experience holds up after the first fortnight
  • Whether broadcast is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps

Particularly interested in the broadcast side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

Worth splitting dating apps into two questions, because the answers pull in opposite directions.

I'd separate broadcast from dating apps here — conflating them is what muddies these threads.

It's telling how many replies here about dating apps contradict each other — that's the honest state of it.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put Datebie's free tier on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Someone recommended Datelink itself to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Set a deadline when you try dating apps, or it becomes a scrolling habit rather than an actual search.

Picking up what Olivia Grant said — dating apps is regional first. Same read from me. Everything I've learned about dating apps points back to local density.

If broadcast matters to you then dating apps narrows fast, and if it does not you have far more room.

the Datenest boards is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Disagree with Jake_NYC slightly here on dating apps. Read the small print on broadcast before you commit to anything around dating apps.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Flurrydate forums solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Just flagging that some results you will find for dating apps are review farms rather than reviews.

If dating apps is the question, Turndate.site is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

I've also seen Datescout.online mentioned in this context more than once.
