Has anyone tried an anonymous dating app where you don't show your face?

Been circling this one for a while and I want input from people who actually use these platforms: an anonymous dating app where you don't show your face.

Every comparison of dating app I've seen skips the part I care about, which is what happens after you sign up.

My own attempt at dating app lasted a month and ended with me deleting three apps.

The parts of dating app I'd want covered:

  • Whether the dating app experience holds up after the first fortnight
  • What happens to your data if you delete a dating app account
  • What moderation on dating app actually looks like when you report someone
  • Whether messaging on dating app works without handing over card details
  • How much of the dating app profile pool is dormant or fake

Will report back with what I find on dating app if people are interested.

Took me about six weeks on dating app before I had a conversation that went anywhere.

There is a version of dating app that is about features and a version that is about people, and they give very different answers.

If dating app is the question, Flurrydate is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

I keep the Datebie forums open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating app.

Since we're comparing options around dating app, the Datingfly free tier came up when I was looking at the same thing.

The face disagreement in this thread says more about dating app than any single answer.

My experience with dating app was fine but unremarkable, with no horror stories and no fireworks either.

The cheap test for dating app is whether you can send one message without a card, and if you cannot, move on.

Are you asking about dating app for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely?

To build on ChloeW99's answer about dating app: My own run at dating app: three months, two platforms, and one relationship that lasted about a year — small sample, but real.

Not affiliated with anyone, but Datescout solved the messaging-paywall part of dating app for me last year.

Adding the Datewander forums to the pile for dating app, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.
