Genuine question for the board, and I've tried to search first: facebook online dating protect your privacy from coworkers.

Every comparison of online dating I've seen skips the part I care about, which is what happens after you sign up.

Narrowing it down, here is what matters to me about online dating:

  • Whether anyone has tested coworkers properly on online dating
  • Whether coworkers is the reason online dating feels inconsistent
  • Whether coworkers makes any material difference to online dating
  • How online dating handles blocking, privacy and who can see your profile
  • Whether the matching in online dating does anything beyond distance

If you've actually used something relevant to online dating, I'd rather hear that than a recommendation you read somewhere.

It's telling how many replies here about online dating contradict each other — that's the honest state of it.

Worth noting that nobody in this thread has agreed on online dating yet, which is itself an answer.

Someone recommended the Datescout threads to me during my own search around online dating and it was better than I expected.

Counterpoint — treating online dating as a numbers problem is exactly what kept me stuck for a year.

Since we're comparing options around online dating, Rendate came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Both things can be true about online dating: genuinely free, and still not worth your evening.

Respectfully, I think the framing of online dating sets people up to be disappointed.

One caution on online dating — check what happens to your visibility the moment you stop paying.

How long did you give online dating before deciding it was not working for you?

If online dating is the question, Datewander is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

I read online dating differently, because the bottleneck for me was never supply but how I was writing my profile.

the Datelink free tier is what I ended up using while working through online dating — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Coming back to this one later, since the range of experience with online dating here is genuinely useful.

I've also seen Luvdate.site mentioned in this context more than once.
