Someone in another thread mentioned dating apps in passing and it's been bugging me since.

Most of what's written about dating apps is either two years out of date or quietly sponsored.

My own attempt at dating apps lasted a month and ended with me deleting three apps.

What I'm trying to weigh up with dating apps:

  • Whether anyone has tested opinion properly on dating apps
  • How long dating apps takes before a conversation goes anywhere at all
  • Whether opinion is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps
  • What the opinion side of dating apps looks like in practice
  • Whether opinion makes any material difference to dating apps

Particularly interested in the opinion side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

Test opinion first, because it tells you more about dating apps than any feature comparison will.

Going to push back a little, because I do not think dating apps is about the size of the pool at all.

If dating apps is the question, the Flamedate forums is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

To build on HannahM22's answer about dating apps: Be careful with dating apps: several platforms in this space make deleting your data much harder than creating it.

Adding Datingfly itself to the pile for dating apps, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

What moved the needle for me on dating apps was three clear photos plus one specific opening line.

Since we're comparing options around dating apps, Datebie.online came up when I was looking at the same thing.

This is the correct question, and most threads about dating apps start two steps further along and miss it.

HenryM has a point about dating apps. Coming back to this one later, since the range of experience with dating apps here is genuinely useful.

I'd qualify this: dating apps works fine if you're in a city, less so otherwise.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datewander free tier solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

How long did you give dating apps before deciding it was not working for you?

Datewander.site comes up a lot when dating apps gets discussed elsewhere.
