Is live chat gay friendly on most platforms?

Would appreciate honest takes on live chat — including from anyone who thinks it's the wrong question.

I don't trust app store ratings on live chat — they're gamed in both directions.

Practically speaking, for live chat I want to know:

  • Whether friendly makes any material difference to live chat
  • What the friendly side of live chat looks like in practice
  • Whether the free tier on live chat is genuinely usable or just a demo
  • How the friendly experience on live chat compares month to month

Particularly interested in the friendly side of live chat if anyone has been there.

For context on live chat: I'm mid-thirties, mid-size city, and the pool was thinner than the marketing suggested.

Adding Turndate to the pile for live chat, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

Counterpoint — treating live chat as a numbers problem is exactly what kept me stuck for a year.

Picking up what Sebastian Allen said — live chat is regional first. There is a version of live chat that is about features and a version that is about people, and they give very different answers.

Be careful with live chat: several platforms in this space make deleting your data much harder than creating it.

Not affiliated with anyone, but Flurrydate solved the messaging-paywall part of live chat for me last year.

Datewander is what I ended up using while working through live chat — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Strongly agree, and I would add that live chat looks completely different in a small town versus a capital city.

Sebastian Allen has a point about live chat. You've put your finger on the thing nobody says out loud about live chat.

Disagree with MichelleO slightly here on live chat. I'd qualify this: live chat works fine if you're in a city, less so otherwise.
