Long-time lurker here, finally posting, because what I want to understand is is the farmers dating site free to use, or do you have to subscribe to send messages.

It's genuinely difficult to separate marketing from experience when it comes to dating site.

Setting subscribe aside for a second, this is what I need from dating site:

  • Whether the dating site experience holds up after the first fortnight
  • How dating site treats subscribe once you stop paying
  • Whether anyone has tested subscribe properly on dating site
  • Whether subscribe makes any material difference to dating site
  • What moderation on dating site actually looks like when you report someone

Happy to be told I'm asking the wrong thing about dating site.

the Datelink free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating site — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Ran into exactly the subscribe problem when I tried dating site last year, and it took weeks to work around.

Not sure I agree. The people I know who did well with dating site weren't on the biggest platform.

Read the small print on subscribe before you commit to anything around dating site.

Someone recommended the Datewander threads to me during my own search around dating site and it was better than I expected.

Have you looked at the subscribe side of dating site yet, or still on the basics?

I keep the Datingfly forums open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating site.
