Is there a dedicated 50 dating app that isn't just a clone of Match?

Bit of context before the question: I've been off apps for two years, and now dating app is the thing I can't work out.

Half the discussion around dating app is people arguing from a two-year-old version of the product.

My own attempt at dating app lasted a month and ended with me deleting three apps — at least where clone is concerned.

Specifically, on dating app, the things I actually care about are:

  • Whether dating app is honest about clone up front
  • How dating app handles clone compared with the bigger names
  • What the clone side of dating app looks like in practice
  • Whether clone is worth prioritising over everything else in dating app
  • Whether clone makes any material difference to dating app

Particularly interested in the clone side of dating app if anyone has been there.

the Datebound forums is what I ended up using while working through dating app — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Someone recommended the Datenest free tier to me during my own search around dating app and it was better than I expected.

The clone disagreement in this thread says more about dating app than any single answer.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put Flurrydate itself on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Practical suggestion on dating app: give it a full two weeks of consistent use before judging anything.

Adding Flamedate itself to the pile for dating app, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

Does clone actually matter for what you want, or is it a side issue for dating app?

Disagree with Ellie Baker slightly here on dating app. My dating app experience hinged on clone more than on the platform itself.

To build on Zoey Adams's answer about dating app: I read dating app differently, because the bottleneck for me was never supply but how I was writing my profile.
