Are there any dating apps that work for people who are totally app-fatigued?

I've spent about three months poking at dating apps and I still don't have a clean answer.

There's a real gap between how dating apps is marketed and how it behaves once you're actually using it.

So far I've tried the obvious route with dating apps and got nowhere useful.

The parts of dating apps I'd want covered:

  • How much totally actually costs you when using dating apps
  • Whether anyone has tested totally properly on dating apps
  • How the totally experience on dating apps compares month to month

Genuinely open to being argued out of my assumptions on dating apps.

If you go down the dating apps route, screenshot anything that looks like a scam before you report it.

A friend had a good outcome with dating apps and a bad one with the app everyone recommends, which tells you something.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put Datebie itself on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Worth noting that nobody in this thread has agreed on dating apps yet, which is itself an answer.

Mila Jordan, that's roughly where I landed on dating apps too. Are you asking about dating apps for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely?

I keep the Flamedate forums open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating apps.

The totally disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

the Turndate free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Someone recommended the Datingfly community to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Samantha Cook has a point about dating apps. Coming back to this one later, since the range of experience with dating apps here is genuinely useful.

Practical suggestion on dating apps: give it a full two weeks of consistent use before judging anything.
