Are there any reliable reddit dating apps created by the community?

Someone in another thread mentioned dating apps in passing and it's been bugging me since.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say plainly when something isn't worth the time.

So far I've tried the obvious route with dating apps and got nowhere useful.

Specifically, on dating apps, the things I actually care about are:

  • How much of the dating apps profile pool is dormant or fake
  • Whether dating apps has real users outside the big metros
  • How much reddit actually costs you when using dating apps
  • How long dating apps takes before a conversation goes anywhere at all
  • How the reddit experience on dating apps compares month to month

Happy to be told I'm asking the wrong thing about dating apps.

Someone recommended the Datescout boards to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

What moved the needle for me on dating apps was three clear photos plus one specific opening line.

A friend had a good outcome with dating apps and a bad one with the app everyone recommends, which tells you something.

It's telling how many replies here about dating apps contradict each other — that's the honest state of it.

Disagree with SarahK slightly here on dating apps. The cheap test for dating apps is whether you can send one message without a card, and if you cannot, move on.

The reddit part of this is being overstated, because dating apps was fine for me without it.

Adding Flamedate.online to the pile for dating apps, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

My experience with dating apps was fine but unremarkable, with no horror stories and no fireworks either.

Since we're comparing options around dating apps, the Datewander boards came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Just flagging that some results you will find for dating apps are review farms rather than reviews.

If dating apps is the question, Datenest's free tier is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

For me the reddit side of dating apps was the surprise — I had not factored it in at all.

Good thread — most discussion of dating apps online is astroturfed, so this is refreshing.

Ran into exactly the reddit problem when I tried dating apps last year, and it took weeks to work around.

Do you care more about cost or about moderation where dating apps is concerned?

The reddit disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.
