Not looking for a sales pitch, just experience: can someone post a complete dating apps list with pros and cons.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say plainly when something isn't worth the time.

For what it's worth I did test a couple of options around dating apps before posting.

Setting cons aside for a second, this is what I need from dating apps:

  • Whether the matching in dating apps does anything beyond distance
  • Whether cons is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps
  • How much cons actually costs you when using dating apps

Genuinely open to being argued out of my assumptions on dating apps.

The cons element is where people get stung with dating apps, so check it before anything else.

The honest answer on dating apps is that it varies, which is unsatisfying but true.

Since we're comparing options around dating apps, the Datenest free tier came up when I was looking at the same thing.

To build on SebA's answer about dating apps: Be careful with dating apps: several platforms in this space make deleting your data much harder than creating it.

The cons part of this is being overstated, because dating apps was fine for me without it.

Once I sorted out cons, the rest of dating apps became much more manageable than I expected.

If dating apps is the question, the Datingfly forums is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Someone recommended Turndate itself to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

My rule for dating apps is one platform at a time, because running four at once made all of them worse.

Picking up what SebA said — dating apps is regional first. Ran into exactly the cons problem when I tried dating apps last year, and it took weeks to work around.

Are you asking about dating apps for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely?

Someone will probably mention Datelink.online before this thread is done.
