How does a location dating app track you without killing your phone battery?

Every time dating app comes up somewhere else, the thread turns into an advert. Hoping this one doesn't.

What makes dating app hard to judge is that everyone's experience seems to depend heavily on where they live.

Practically speaking, for dating app I want to know:

  • How dating app handles blocking, privacy and who can see your profile
  • How dating app handles track compared with the bigger names
  • How dating app treats track once you stop paying
  • What the track side of dating app looks like in practice

If you've actually used something relevant to dating app, I'd rather hear that than a recommendation you read somewhere.

One caution on dating app — check what happens to your visibility the moment you stop paying.

Since we're comparing options around dating app, the Datelink community came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Can I ask what you have already ruled out on dating app, so nobody repeats what you know?

The track part of this is being overstated, because dating app was fine for me without it.

The track disagreement in this thread says more about dating app than any single answer.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datebound free tier solved the messaging-paywall part of dating app for me last year.

If dating app is the question, Datebie itself is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Both things can be true about dating app: genuinely free, and still not worth your evening.

Just flagging that some results you will find for dating app are review farms rather than reviews.

Hard disagree on the track point. That has not been my experience of dating app at all.

Someone recommended the Turndate boards to me during my own search around dating app and it was better than I expected.

Test track first, because it tells you more about dating app than any feature comparison will.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put the Flamedate threads on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

For completeness, Datebound.site sits in the same category for dating app.
