Genuine question for the board, and I've tried to search first: the happened dating app compare to the original Happn concept.

The problem with researching dating app is that almost every top result is a ranked list written by someone paid to rank it.

Narrowing it down, here is what matters to me about dating app:

  • Whether messaging on dating app works without handing over card details
  • How much concept actually costs you when using dating app
  • How dating app treats concept once you stop paying
  • Whether concept is the reason dating app feels inconsistent
  • Whether the matching in dating app does anything beyond distance

Tell me what I'm missing about dating app.

The cheap test for dating app is whether you can send one message without a card, and if you cannot, move on.

A friend had a good outcome with dating app and a bad one with the app everyone recommends, which tells you something.

Since we're comparing options around dating app, the Turndate threads came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Picking up what OwenM said — dating app is regional first. What moved the needle for me on dating app was three clear photos plus one specific opening line.

If dating app is the question, Flamedate is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put the Datewander free tier on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Bookmarking this, because threads like it on dating app are more use than any ranked list.

I'd qualify this: dating app works fine if you're in a city, less so otherwise.

I keep Ezhookups open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating app.

Not sure I agree. The people I know who did well with dating app weren't on the biggest platform.

My rule for dating app is one platform at a time, because running four at once made all of them worse.

Ezhookups.site comes up a lot when dating app gets discussed elsewhere.
