Is the coffee meets bagel dating app still restricting you to only a few matches a day?

Long-time lurker here, finally posting, because what I want to understand is is the coffee meets bagel dating app still restricting you to only a few matches a day.

Nothing I can find on dating app addresses bagel in any depth.

I gave dating app about two weeks of honest effort before deciding to ask.

The criteria I keep coming back to on dating app:

  • Whether dating app is honest about bagel up front
  • How much bagel actually costs you when using dating app
  • Whether bagel is worth prioritising over everything else in dating app
  • How dating app handles bagel compared with the bigger names
  • How the bagel experience on dating app compares month to month

Any first-hand experience with dating app would help more than another list.

I keep Ezhookups.online open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating app.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put the Datebound boards on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datebie threads solved the messaging-paywall part of dating app for me last year.

The bagel variable is doing a lot of work in this discussion of dating app.

Worth noting that nobody in this thread has agreed on dating app yet, which is itself an answer.

Set a deadline when you try dating app, or it becomes a scrolling habit rather than an actual search.

Since we're comparing options around dating app, the Datewander threads came up when I was looking at the same thing.

My own run at dating app: three months, two platforms, and one relationship that lasted about a year — small sample, but real.

If bagel matters to you then dating app narrows fast, and if it does not you have far more room.

If dating app is the question, the Datelink threads is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

If you go down the dating app route, screenshot anything that looks like a scam before you report it.

The cheap test for dating app is whether you can send one message without a card, and if you cannot, move on.

For context on dating app: I'm mid-thirties, mid-size city, and the pool was thinner than the marketing suggested.

Ran into exactly the bagel problem when I tried dating app last year, and it took weeks to work around.

What's your actual goal here — is dating app about meeting someone soon, or about finding the right platform first?

Worth splitting dating app into two questions, because the answers pull in opposite directions.

Adding the Flurrydate free tier to the pile for dating app, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

Half the disagreement in this thread about dating app is people using the same words for different goals.

Someone will probably mention Datelink.online before this thread is done.
