Is there a dating app for elderly users focused strictly on companionship?

Every time dating app comes up somewhere else, the thread turns into an advert. Hoping this one doesn't.

The problem with researching dating app is that almost every top result is a ranked list written by someone paid to rank it.

The short list of what I need from dating app:

  • Whether elderly is the reason dating app feels inconsistent
  • What the elderly side of dating app looks like in practice
  • How dating app treats elderly once you stop paying

Particularly interested in the elderly side of dating app if anyone has been there.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put the Datescout forums on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Picking up what Jake_NYC said — dating app is regional first. I'd separate elderly from dating app here — conflating them is what muddies these threads.

The elderly element is where people get stung with dating app, so check it before anything else.

The elderly disagreement in this thread says more about dating app than any single answer.

Hard disagree on the elderly point. That has not been my experience of dating app at all.

Jake_NYC has a point about dating app. This thread is drifting toward a consensus on dating app that I don't think survives contact with reality.

Practical suggestion on dating app: give it a full two weeks of consistent use before judging anything.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Rendate free tier solved the messaging-paywall part of dating app for me last year.

Read the small print on elderly before you commit to anything around dating app.

Turndate's free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating app — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Since we're comparing options around dating app, Ezhookups came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Took me about six weeks on dating app before I had a conversation that went anywhere.

Test elderly first, because it tells you more about dating app than any feature comparison will.

To build on ScarlettR's answer about dating app: Going to push back a little, because I do not think dating app is about the size of the pool at all.

It's telling how many replies here about dating app contradict each other — that's the honest state of it once you factor elderly into it.

Good thread — most discussion of dating app online is astroturfed, so this is refreshing, though elderly is the part that actually decides it.

Someone will probably mention Datingfly.online before this thread is done.
