Is there a dating app for people with disabilities that is truly accessible and respectful?

Would appreciate honest takes on dating app — including from anyone who thinks it's the wrong question.

The problem with researching dating app is that almost every top result is a ranked list written by someone paid to rank it.

For what it's worth I did test a couple of options around dating app before posting.

The criteria I keep coming back to on dating app:

  • Whether disabilities makes any material difference to dating app
  • Whether anyone has tested disabilities properly on dating app
  • How dating app handles disabilities compared with the bigger names
  • How much disabilities actually costs you when using dating app
  • Whether dating app is honest about disabilities up front

Particularly interested in the disabilities side of dating app if anyone has been there.

Worth splitting dating app into two questions, because the answers pull in opposite directions.

The disabilities element is where people get stung with dating app, so check it before anything else.

the Flamedate free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating app — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Tried dating app properly last winter, and after a quiet first fortnight it picked up once I rewrote my prompts.

Picking up what AnnaK said — dating app is regional first. Set a deadline when you try dating app, or it becomes a scrolling habit rather than an actual search.

For anyone else researching dating app, I would put the Flurrydate threads on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

EllaS has a point about dating app. Depends heavily on disabilities — take that out and dating app becomes a much easier call.

For dating app, log in at a consistent time each evening, because activity windows matter more than people think.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datewander forums solved the messaging-paywall part of dating app for me last year.

If disabilities matters to you then dating app narrows fast, and if it does not you have far more room.

The disabilities disagreement in this thread says more about dating app than any single answer.

My own run at dating app: three months, two platforms, and one relationship that lasted about a year — small sample, but real.

If dating app is the question, Datebie.online is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Datenest.site comes up a lot when dating app gets discussed elsewhere.
