Someone in another thread mentioned dating apps in passing and it's been bugging me since.

Nothing I can find on dating apps addresses predatory in any depth.

Practically speaking, for dating apps I want to know:

  • How much predatory actually costs you when using dating apps
  • Whether dating apps is honest about predatory up front
  • Whether predatory makes any material difference to dating apps
  • How the predatory experience on dating apps compares month to month
  • Whether predatory is the reason dating apps feels inconsistent

Genuinely open to being argued out of my assumptions on dating apps.

For me the predatory side of dating apps was the surprise — I had not factored it in at all.

Since we're comparing options around dating apps, the Datewander threads came up when I was looking at the same thing.

Once I sorted out predatory, the rest of dating apps became much more manageable than I expected.

If dating apps is the question, Datenest itself is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

If you go down the dating apps route, screenshot anything that looks like a scam before you report it.

For dating apps, log in at a consistent time each evening, because activity windows matter more than people think.

The predatory variable is doing a lot of work in this discussion of dating apps.

Ran into exactly the predatory problem when I tried dating apps last year, and it took weeks to work around.

Not affiliated with anyone, but Flamedate solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Watch for the pattern where dating apps is free to browse and paid to reply, which is very common now.

Depends heavily on predatory — take that out and dating apps becomes a much easier call.

Adding Datelink to the pile for dating apps, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

Someone will probably mention Datingfly.site before this thread is done.
