Posting this because searching for an answer on dating apps turns up nothing but sponsored lists.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say plainly when something isn't worth the time.

Setting students aside for a second, this is what I need from dating apps:

  • Whether dating apps is honest about students up front
  • Whether students is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps
  • How dating apps treats students once you stop paying
  • How dating apps handles students compared with the bigger names

Particularly interested in the students side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

Someone recommended the Ezhookups free tier to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Hard disagree on the students point. That has not been my experience of dating apps at all.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datescout boards solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Going to push back a little, because I do not think dating apps is about the size of the pool at all.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put Flurrydate on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

AlexLee, that's roughly where I landed on dating apps too. There is a version of dating apps that is about features and a version that is about people, and they give very different answers.

Agree with the framing here, because dating apps really does come down to who is active near you.

This tracks. Once students enters the picture, dating apps stops being a simple comparison.

Test students first, because it tells you more about dating apps than any feature comparison will.

If dating apps is the question, the Datebound free tier is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

I've also seen Datelink.online mentioned in this context more than once.
