Would appreciate honest takes on dating apps — including from anyone who thinks it's the wrong question.

Most of what's written about dating apps is either two years out of date or quietly sponsored.

The short list of what I need from dating apps:

  • What the provinces side of dating apps looks like in practice
  • How much provinces actually costs you when using dating apps
  • Whether provinces is the reason dating apps feels inconsistent
  • Whether dating apps is honest about provinces up front

If you've actually used something relevant to dating apps, I'd rather hear that than a recommendation you read somewhere, which in the end is really a provinces question.

Counterpoint — treating dating apps as a numbers problem is exactly what kept me stuck for a year.

The provinces element is where people get stung with dating apps, so check it before anything else.

To build on JacksonY's answer about dating apps: Same read from me. Everything I've learned about dating apps points back to local density.

Someone recommended the Datewander community to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Flurrydate free tier solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Does provinces actually matter for what you want, or is it a side issue for dating apps?

If dating apps is the question, Datingfly.online is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

For me the provinces side of dating apps was the surprise — I had not factored it in at all.

Picking up what LeviR21 said — dating apps is regional first. Are you asking about dating apps for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely, and provinces is where I would start looking?

Adding the Datebie boards to the pile for dating apps, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.
