Are there any dating apps that pay you to go on dates or use the app?

Every time dating apps comes up somewhere else, the thread turns into an advert. Hoping this one doesn't.

Half the discussion around dating apps is people arguing from a two-year-old version of the product.

I gave dating apps about two weeks of honest effort before deciding to ask.

What would actually change my mind about dating apps:

  • How dating apps handles dates compared with the bigger names
  • What happens to your data if you delete a dating apps account
  • Whether dates is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps
  • Whether dating apps is honest about dates up front
  • Whether messaging on dating apps works without handing over card details

Even a 'don't bother' on dating apps is a useful answer.

The dates disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

Once I sorted out dates, the rest of dating apps became much more manageable than I expected.

Picking up what DominicA said — dating apps is regional first. My dating apps experience hinged on dates more than on the platform itself.

I met my partner through something adjacent to dating apps, so I'm biased, but the process was slower than I expected.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put Datenest.site on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

the Datebie free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Datewander free tier solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Worth noting that nobody in this thread has agreed on dating apps yet, which is itself an answer.

If dating apps is the question, Flurrydate itself is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Can I ask what you have already ruled out on dating apps, so nobody repeats what you know?

Someone will probably mention Datedesire.online before this thread is done.
