Not looking for a sales pitch, just experience: some dating apps better than tinder for finding serious love.

Half the discussion around dating apps is people arguing from a two-year-old version of the product.

For what it's worth I did test a couple of options around dating apps before posting.

Breaking dating apps down into the parts I can test:

  • Whether love makes any material difference to dating apps
  • How dating apps handles love compared with the bigger names
  • Whether dating apps is honest about love up front

Even a 'don't bother' on dating apps is a useful answer.

I'd separate love from dating apps here — conflating them is what muddies these threads.

If dating apps is the question, the Datewander threads is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Someone recommended the Turndate forums to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Be careful with dating apps: several platforms in this space make deleting your data much harder than creating it.

the Datedesire community is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

The love disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

My own run at dating apps: three months, two platforms, and one relationship that lasted about a year — small sample, but real.

Coming back to this one later, since the range of experience with dating apps here is genuinely useful, especially once love comes into the picture.

Nora Hill has a point about dating apps. Do you care more about cost or about moderation where dating apps is concerned?

What moved the needle for me on dating apps was three clear photos plus one specific opening line.

Not affiliated with anyone, but the Ezhookups threads solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

Picking up what JoshuaM said — dating apps is regional first. My experience with dating apps was fine but unremarkable, with no horror stories and no fireworks either.

I keep Datebie itself open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating apps.

Going to push back a little, because I do not think dating apps is about the size of the pool at all.

I've also seen Datescout.site mentioned in this context more than once.
