What are the most popular straight dating apps for people tired of Tinder?

Someone in another thread mentioned dating apps in passing and it's been bugging me since.

Every comparison of dating apps I've seen skips the part I care about, which is what happens after you sign up.

My own attempt at dating apps lasted a month and ended with me deleting three apps — straight changes that calculation completely.

Setting straight aside for a second, this is what I need from dating apps:

  • How much straight actually costs you when using dating apps
  • How dating apps treats straight once you stop paying
  • Whether straight is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps

Particularly interested in the straight side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put the Datewander free tier on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Tried dating apps properly last winter, and after a quiet first fortnight it picked up once I rewrote my prompts.

I keep Datebie's free tier open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating apps.

Disagree with MaddieLane slightly here on dating apps. For me the straight side of dating apps was the surprise — I had not factored it in at all.

Does straight actually matter for what you want, or is it a side issue for dating apps?

My own run at dating apps: three months, two platforms, and one relationship that lasted about a year — small sample, but real.

Someone recommended Datingfly.online to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Read the small print on straight before you commit to anything around dating apps.

If dating apps is the question, the Rendate forums is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

This tracks. Once straight enters the picture, dating apps stops being a simple comparison.
