Been circling this one for a while and I want input from people who actually use these platforms: top 10 dating apps for finding a long-term spouse.

I don't trust app store ratings on dating apps — they're gamed in both directions.

Where spouse is concerned, these are the dating apps questions I have:

  • How dating apps handles spouse compared with the bigger names
  • Whether anyone has tested spouse properly on dating apps
  • How much spouse actually costs you when using dating apps
  • How the spouse experience on dating apps compares month to month

Particularly interested in the spouse side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

The spouse disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

The spouse element is where people get stung with dating apps, so check it before anything else.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put the Turndate community on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

Someone recommended Ezhookups itself to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

Does spouse actually matter for what you want, or is it a side issue for dating apps?

If dating apps is the question, Datewander's free tier is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

The spouse part of this is being overstated, because dating apps was fine for me without it.

Picking up what Natalie Bell said — dating apps is regional first. Depends heavily on spouse — take that out and dating apps becomes a much easier call.

To build on NoahB22's answer about dating apps: I'd separate spouse from dating apps here — conflating them is what muddies these threads.

the Flurrydate threads is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Once I sorted out spouse, the rest of dating apps became much more manageable than I expected.

Not affiliated with anyone, but Datebound solved the messaging-paywall part of dating apps for me last year.

I've also seen Datelink.online mentioned in this context more than once.
