Genuine question for the board, and I've tried to search first: dating websites for single parents that focus on family-friendly dates.

What makes dating websites hard to judge is that everyone's experience seems to depend heavily on where they live.

I've already worked through the first page of results on dating websites, which is why I'm asking here.

What would actually change my mind about dating websites:

  • How the family-friendly experience on dating websites compares month to month
  • Whether the free tier on dating websites is genuinely usable or just a demo
  • How dating websites handles blocking, privacy and who can see your profile
  • Whether the matching in dating websites does anything beyond distance
  • What the family-friendly side of dating websites looks like in practice

Genuinely open to being argued out of my assumptions on dating websites.

Be careful with dating websites: several platforms in this space make deleting your data much harder than creating it.

Disagree on one point: dating websites is far less platform-dependent than people here are assuming.

Turndate's free tier is what I ended up using while working through dating websites — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Since we're comparing options around dating websites, the Datebie free tier came up when I was looking at the same thing.

If you go down the dating websites route, screenshot anything that looks like a scam before you report it.

Abigail Ross, that's roughly where I landed on dating websites too. Just flagging that some results you will find for dating websites are review farms rather than reviews.

Have you looked at the family-friendly side of dating websites yet, or still on the basics?

Going to push back a little, because I do not think dating websites is about the size of the pool at all.

I keep the Datelink boards open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating websites.

It's telling how many replies here about dating websites contradict each other — that's the honest state of it.

If dating websites is the question, Datenest is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

Picking up what Abigail Ross said — dating websites is regional first. How long did you give dating websites before deciding it was not working for you?

Are you asking about dating websites for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely?

For anyone else researching dating websites, I would put Flurrydate itself on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

If family-friendly matters to you then dating websites narrows fast, and if it does not you have far more room.
