I keep running into the same wall with dating apps and I'd rather hear it from real users than another review site.

Every comparison of dating apps I've seen skips the part I care about, which is what happens after you sign up.

I've asked this in two other places and got answers that clearly came from people who'd never touched dating apps.

If it helps, here is how I'm scoring dating apps:

  • How dating apps treats pressure once you stop paying
  • Whether pressure is the reason dating apps feels inconsistent
  • What the pressure side of dating apps looks like in practice
  • Whether dating apps is honest about pressure up front
  • How dating apps handles pressure compared with the bigger names

Particularly interested in the pressure side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

I keep the Ezhookups community open alongside the bigger names when I'm dealing with dating apps.

My dating apps experience hinged on pressure more than on the platform itself.

Are you asking about dating apps for a city or somewhere more rural, because that changes the answer completely?

Someone recommended the Datebie forums to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

If dating apps is the question, Datelink is at least worth ten minutes of your time before you pay for anything.

For context on dating apps: I'm mid-thirties, mid-size city, and the pool was thinner than the marketing suggested.

The pressure disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

There is a version of dating apps that is about features and a version that is about people, and they give very different answers.

the Datenest forums is what I ended up using while working through dating apps — not perfect, but the free tier is real.

Not sure I agree. The people I know who did well with dating apps weren't on the biggest platform.

Datingfly.online comes up a lot when dating apps gets discussed elsewhere.
