Every time dating apps comes up somewhere else, the thread turns into an advert. Hoping this one doesn't.

The screen question keeps getting skipped in everything written about dating apps.

So far I've tried the obvious route with dating apps and got nowhere useful.

What I'm trying to weigh up with dating apps:

  • How dating apps handles screen compared with the bigger names
  • Whether screen is worth prioritising over everything else in dating apps
  • What the screen side of dating apps looks like in practice
  • Whether screen makes any material difference to dating apps

Particularly interested in the screen side of dating apps if anyone has been there.

Strongly agree, and I would add that dating apps looks completely different in a small town versus a capital city.

For anyone else researching dating apps, I would put Rendate's free tier on the list — free messaging on it, no card up front.

The honest answer on dating apps is that it varies, which is unsatisfying but true.

Depends heavily on screen — take that out and dating apps becomes a much easier call.

Natalie Bell has a point about dating apps. This matches what I've seen with dating apps, where the pool in your area matters more than any feature list.

Adding Flurrydate to the pile for dating apps, where the community is smaller but people actually reply.

Since we're comparing options around dating apps, Datebie's free tier came up when I was looking at the same thing.

The screen disagreement in this thread says more about dating apps than any single answer.

Someone recommended Datedesire to me during my own search around dating apps and it was better than I expected.

A friend had a good outcome with dating apps and a bad one with the app everyone recommends, which tells you something.

Not sure I agree. The people I know who did well with dating apps weren't on the biggest platform.

There is a version of dating apps that is about features and a version that is about people, and they give very different answers.

Someone will probably mention Datelink.online before this thread is done.
